This thing has a mind of it's own.
They assigned me the username. They didn't do that to you???
I am on your floor though! I promise I'm not a weirdo.
I'm Tifa.
no subject
That's exactly what a weirdo would say. I'm Nami. Wanna get drinks sometime?
no subject
Yes. Please.
And maybe you can show me how to change it? I never even had a cell phone.
no subject
no subject
it's like this watch but like...a box the size of your hand
you can talk on it or send messages
we didn't get good signal where I lived so it didn't always work, and it was expensive
no subject
Still, I can try and help you, or maybe I'll change mine to namilicious or something. 5 floor solidarity.
no subject
[ If she'd still been 15, she'd be delighted at all these different worlds mixing. Now, she's mostly just tired. But she does smile at the second message. ]
tifalicious would be cute
no subject
[ Is this weird? Nami doesn't think so. Anyway, she'll even send a picture of a drawing of one, for further clarification. ]
It's a definite improvement at least. I promise we'll fix it.
no subject
[ was it rude to say weird? Oh. a picture. ]
That's cute actually. We don't have those.
Do you want to meet up? I could use a friend to go exploring.
no subject
Sure, should I look for you at this mixer thing they keep messaging us about?
no subject
un: 3swords
pets and children, huh.
no subject
Kidding, I swear.
no subject
six kids, three pets.
no subject
no subject
no subject
[ The pets, not the kids. ]
no subject
( Sorry, no deflecting. )
no subject
Suffice to say, her message is delayed due to reading and rereading those two stupid words. ]
Our children will not be happening by the dozen.
no subject
so back to six?
no subject
YOU WERE AT SIX, I WAS NEVER AT SIX.
Less. Way less.
no subject
does it not say "ask zoro" right there?
no subject
no subject
no subject
[ Hello, he got an ask Zoro and an ambiguous agreement. ]
no subject
okay. two is good. they get a built-in best friend that way.
you like treasure.
( There's a metaphor brewing here... )
no subject
I like treasure. And?
no subject
family's like treasure.
no subject
Shut up.
no subject
where are you?
no subject
[ He's still getting a dozen pins dropped between them ]
no subject
( He is attempting to follow them. )
no subject
[ AND THAT'S IF SHE GOES ALONG WITH THIS, OKAY. ]
no subject
no subject
no subject
but you won't be bad at it.
i'm close.
( No he's not. He's going in the opposite direction. )
no subject
Close to what?
[ You know she's watching his location update. ]
no subject
you? where are you. it says i'm here ( No it doesn't. )
no subject
Does it look like you're in my bedroom, dumbass?
I miss you.
no subject
( Okay, her "I miss you" makes him try harder, so he gets there in the next fifteen minutes or something fairly reasonable. )
no subject
[ Fifteen minutes is a long time, and unfortunately it's long enough for Nami to circle back to the other big talking point tonight. ]
But I might be bad at it.
no subject
( Eventually he pads into her bedroom, offering her a smile in greeting and pulling her to bed. To cuddle or something. )
Bad at what, exactly?
no subject
[ And she goes willingly, her arms and legs wrapping around him just as soon as they're both settled on the sheets. ]
Family.
no subject
You'll get better by the twelfth kid.
no subject
You're ridiculous. I'm not having twelve kids.
no subject
You're going to be wonderful. We'll figure it out together.
no subject
I'm not saying yes until we do everything else we promised to do. [ The One Piece, the All Blue, her map, his renown. Nami's eyes sweep over his face, her words heavy on the back of her tongue - weighty enough that once she steals one more kiss she's got to turn her head and hide her face while whispering against his earlobe. ] Don't do anything stupid, and we can be each other's next big dream. [ Then, somehow even more quietly- ] Us and our very small family.
no subject
The overthinking can come later, but for now Zoro just hums, smiling to himself at her last words. ) Very small. ( He agrees with a nod, hand sliding down to rub circles (innocently!) on her ass. ) Just two. Built-in best friends.
no subject
[ The thought of losing Zoro never came without pain and anxiety attached, even at a time when she believed her only course of action was to disappear from the crew, and from him. Talking about the future like this, now that everything is different, is only going to make that fear more vibrant and real, once they're home and risking their lives again. For Nami, the non answer that's really an answer is a form of insurance, a way to protect Zoro even though physically there's no way she could hope to make a difference in keeping him safe. ]
Two for now, and we'll see how sick of you I am afterwards.
no subject
Pft. You're sick of me right now. ( He somehow gathers her more into his arms, pulling her up so their faces can be closer together. ) You're just waiting for me to leave so you can go back to scheming, or whatever it is you do when I'm not around. ( Mumbled against her temple, then her cheek. )
no subject
You're right. [ She says, tucking her chin down as she turns her head, so she can kiss his jaw. ] I'm lovesick. [ Despite the tenderness hanging on every moment, Nami's still fairly sure owning her emotions is eventually going to make her heart pound so hard it simply bursts, even if every word is true, she can't speak them without a persistent prickle of worry tightening her chest. ] And when you're away from me, it just gets worse; like all the love I have for you has nowhere to go, so it twists itself up in knots, instead.
